T25 Wastegate
I was wondering what harm there would be in moving the stock wastegate from its mounted positioned? I am doing a custom turbo setup and the wastegate rod makes contact with the starter. Can i move the wastegate up or down without damaging the operation of it? Or should I go ahead and re-weld my manifold?

I personally do not see what it would be detrimental to move it. But I have not done any research or anything on it, so don't do it just because of what I said...to me it just seems like it should be okay.

just make sure that the wastegate opens and closes completly and you should be fine. i dont think there would be much room to move but you can try

Hey man, I forgot about what car you had when we were talking the other night. I personally would not go with an internal wastegate if I were you... The one on a T-25 is set at 11-12psi and you definately dont want to be running that high unless your motor is built! Just a thought!!

Actually I believe the t25 is more like 7-8 psi. The mitsu actuators are ~10 psi. But it may creep more than 7-8 psi anyway, making the spring pressure irrelevant.

Thanks for the feedback guys! A boost controller will control the psi right? I think i am going to move it up and make a mounting bracket for it. I will just have to monitor it and make sure that there isnt a leak.

Yes, a boost controller can increase boost... but it will not lower it below the wastegate's preset. You will not be able to run lower than ~9psi with a boost controller or not. I would go with an external wastegate, but I have never heard of anyone considering adjusting the wastegate position. Seems like you could make the rod longer or shorter.
