OK, need some info on models

Hi. Long story, but here we go. My Dad is starting into his "Mid-Life Crisis" and went out to buy or build the car that he had in High School. A '69 Buick Skylard GS California. Anyway, long search and we finally found one to fix up (after he bought a clean as fork 72 'lark too.) This question has been puzzling both of us for a while, so I'm taking the risk of getting flammed for more info. Outside of badging, what makes a GS California different from a GS?

On that year, the doors may have framed windows on the Calli GS. I'm more of a '70-'72 guy

Have you tried asking at www.v8buick.com yet? They will know
