we have been experiencing a starting problem with our 92 accord. It will do fine for a few days, and then we can be anywhere and the car will die and will not start for 20 minutes-2days. It tries to turn over but it won't start completely. It sounds almost like it is out of gas but we know there is gas in the car. if someone could help us with this problem we would really appreciate it.

I'm just taking a guess here, but your alternator may be going out or it could be your starter. You may need a new battery or at least a charge on it.

It's the main relay, nothing else.
Replace it (~$90 parts), or repair it if you know how to solder electronic components. Take a look here if you would like to do it yourself. http://autorepair.about.com/cs/doity...l/bl_hmr_1.htm To re-solder the legs inside is not difficult at all. You can save couple bucks by doing that. I re-soldered mine 2 years ago and it's fine since. |

Re: 92 Honda Accord starting problem
I agrre with Proman
A way to check for sure is when it won't start just turn the key to the run position. Watch the Check engine lite. When it goes off you chould hear a click from under the dash. If it doesn't click and you can't hear the pump run than thats it.
