Wasted by a GSR
Tonight at an 1/8 mile track, I ran against my friend's GSR, bonestock. He eased into the whole, pulling an embarassing 8.5 r/t, coz it was his first time at that track. The Christmas Tree was throwing semi-pro launches, so I was set to kill, or so I thought. I started messing with my rpm, and then I saw RED... Still couldn't get it to stay at 35, so I said FUKK IT, and I just stayed at 750 idle and waited for the last amber, and then a split second before I got a 2100 RPM take off, bogged my first gear so he jumped ahead of me by about a car and a half.. I was thinking, "I've been in this whole before, it wasn't as bad but I caught up..." But his second gear was a little stronger than I expected and he stayed ahead by a car and a half the whole way, but the track actually runs half a mile so even after we edged times, we kept going, I was a car and a half at the 1/8th, I was half a car behind at the end of what we thought was the quarter.
Then at the street races.... He let me run his car against a 1987 Camaro IROC 5.7 350 with tuned port injection. That fool jumped me off the line by about a car and a half coz of that automatic tranny... But I felt the GSR's power when I shifted into third, I caught up to him and jumped him by a car length before shifting into fourth, and we raced all the way up to about 150, I was a car length ahead all the way. you should've seen the look on his face. :smoker:

Hey, I raced the IROC, it lost. That's the bottom line. A GSR broke off my friend's 5.0, a GSR broke off a 97+ NonSH Prelude, and a GSR broke me off... So I'm pretty sure by now that they've gained a name for themselves.

If you are losing to GSR's, then you are not in the 14's like you think bud, especially a bone stock GSR

Your lack of intelligence boggles me.
Who said I hit 14's? I hit 15.5's... So I'm about .2 away from a stock GSr, if I mess up and the GSR driver knows how to drive, I won't catch him. Get a life.

GSRs pull HARD in 3rd gear. You might be able to keep up through 2nd, but after that forget it.

First off, the 80 dollar bet was in reference to my plans of building up my head without forced induction. Which is why I said, I'll break 14's WITHOUT forced induction, I NEVER said, and you can even check you're so called "gotcha there" quote on me, that I would break into 14's with what I had now... Otherwise, you guessed it "genius", I would've said, "80 dollars says I'll break 14's WITH WHAT I HAVE NOW..." God it makes me wonder whether you made it passed 6th grade or not, quote that. Oh and I never said I get wasted by bonestock GSR'S AS IN PLURAL, I said I got wasted by ONE gsr, and it was because he was a really good driver and I got a bad start, why don't you quote my whole statement before you act as premature as your mind. I run mid 15's now, ironic to your simple mind how stock gsr's run mid to high 15's too, huh? Oh and get your facts straight, GSR's pull hard in third gear when you DON'T have a strong third gear. EVERY gear on a GSR is strong, it's just that it's third gear doesn't lose power so it pulls harder on slower cars. The first gear is controversial, without good tires you won't be getting anywhere in a GSR, because in first you get smoked, second you catch up, and third you pull, but with good grip you can drop the clutch at about 5500 rpm, and first gear will kick ass just as much as second and third. I know a hell of a lot more about Honda/Acura than you know about making up good names, "cybercrx" to say the least. So let's see, I backfired both of your arguementive supporting quotes, I shut you up about something you CLAIM through words to know more about than me, and I shut up some other guy who showed up with mediocre town talk when he doesn't even know the math. You rack up the points and tell me where I'm at junior?

mid to high 15s seems kinda average for a GSR with a good driver. My friends 95 ran 15.1-15.3 all day before he got his clutch/flywheel

I think I need to stop picking on this kid.....if he thinks a fwd slorolla will be fast, then I suppose that's his idea. Good luck, I hope you spend $10 to get into the 14's
