Can someone tell me where I can find instructions on how to program a 2001 lexus es300. I don't want to purchase the key if I can't program it. And the dealer want to charge 3500 bucks!

Not sure if you took care of this yet, but in order to get addition keys made (with internal transponder), you would need to have the master key. The master key can open glove box and trunk - and of course, start the car. There are Ebayer who sell the key with programming instructions.

Joe,

I do not have the master key, does this mean I can purchase a master key online with instructions on how to program the transponder?
