Locking lug nuts

I have an 04 silverado, and I just purchased some Eagle Alloy 026 20" wheels. Now I just need to get some good locking lug nuts. Can anyone recommend some good ones?

Gorilla........ they make a set up called "The System". Each lug nut is a locking lug nut. (24 locking nuts!) Been using them in all my vehicles for years....... no problems. Costs around $35-$45........ made in USA. Website is www.gorilla-auto.com.

Probably a dumb question - but what makes a locking lug nut a "good" or a "bad" choice. I've never owned any - but I'm thinking I should probably get some for my new truck.

I guess I always thought it was one locking nut per wheel. The idea of all of them being locking is interesting.

Re: Locking lug nuts

"Good choice" "bad choice" = made in USA vs. made in China, etc.

Re: Locking lug nuts

I'm looking for locking lugnuts for a 2002 Silverado 2WD with factory aluminum rims http://4wheeldrive.about.com/library/uc/ucshris.htm --- example of the rims...

The problem is all the locks I have found lack external threads for the wheel caps. Chevrolet wants $40 for a set of four (locks with external threads), but I like to avoid paying a surcharge for "official" GM parts.

I've checked with Discount Tire and Gorrilla.

Does anyone have any other rec's?

Thanks,
ph919
