94 Blazer cuts off????

OK, something weird is going on with my truck. Every once in awhile my I will be driving the Blazer and it goes totally dead for a split second, all dash lights go off and motor dies, then in the same second, everything cuts back on including engine. I do not have to recrank the motor or anything, it simply shuts off totally for a split second then turns back on. Anyone know how to fix this? What the problem is? 94 Blazer 4.3L Vortec 4 door.

I would have to say ignition or a bad ground.

Bad ground? Like from the battery or somewhere else?

The first thing I'd suspect would be the ignition module in the distributor. You used to be able to have the checked at Autozone, but the stores in my area stopped checking them. Take the truck to Autozone and have them check for any codes.

if the dash and everything goes dead, its a larger problem than just the ignition module. I'd start by pulling the battery cables and checking/cleaning/retightening them, then check the ground cable where it bolts to the engine.

You're right, this is almost sounding like the Pink wire in the ignition switch dilema again.
