3000GT vs. Supra

First a little background info, im a student at a&m corpus christi (gulf coast texas.)

Well theres a guy on campus whos goin to rush our fraternity,(beta theta pie ) so hes talkin to all of us and were askin him questions and what not, he seems allright THEN.

HIM: I could take any car on campus with my supra (my friends immediatley look at me)

ME: Oh yea, Not bad is it TT.

Him: NO

Me: well have you got any mods?

Him: intake and exhaust, why you boys think you got somethin that can take me

Me: as a matter a fact yea, how bout we line em up

Him: what you got?

ME: 3000GT

Him: pshhh whatever

Me: Well, your so sure how bout we put 50 on it.

HIM: its your money you want to lose it i'll take it.

We head off the island, and on to ocean drive, stop and we line em up, my frat brother waves the start, i get the jump from the beginning 1st gear 43mph im just a few feet ahead, shift to second, 50 , 60 then 70 mph im now 1 car ahead shift to third. 80mph im pulling slowly 1 1/2 car lead, 95 i can see his headlights in my rearview redline third at 103 im now 2cars up, i decide thats enough and shut down. We take the turnaround and head back to campus.

Him: wow i didnt know 3000GT'S were that fast.

ME: Good race , maybe next time fish. PAY UP

I ran my car in the 1/4 a while back using an acutrack,i ran a range of 14.288 - 14.495, dont trust the acutrack though it can be inaccurate. and no the guy just assumed he would win.

Lol, our neighboring house is Beta, so we have get along pretty well. I know what you mean about cocky fish though, we have one who has a 97 V6 Stang, stock except for dual straight pipes. Good kill on the Supra.
