Question wheel speed sensors on 2001 trooper

can someone tell me where the wheel speed sensors are located on
a 2001 isuzu trooper 4WD with a TOD transfer case. i have tried to locate chilton manual for vehicle but 97-02 manual is out of print. only manual available is for 91-96 models and these models did not have TOD transfer case.
many thanks to travelman for previous info.!!! i plan on going by dealer
and get a copy of the diagnostic error codes. connectors, wiring, and
TOD computer all look OK. TOD computer has not been wet! plug that
protects wiring going thru bottom of cab also in great shape.
thanks again, CARTECH57

I don't think you want the wheel speed sensors. Those are for the ABS system and are located at each wheel. Instead you want the TOD speed sensors. These sense the difference in front versus rear axle speeds. IIRC they come off towards the top rear of the TOD unit.

There has never been a Chilton etc. for the newer Troopers. You can however get the official Helm Inc. service manual for $100 or so from Helm. Maybe cheaper as an Ebay resale?

If you get the exact codes, no doubt somebody with access to a manual can help you out. Again, bad speed sensors seem to be a fairly common problem especially from folks in the wetter climates. I think they are kind of on the expensive side.
