Question 97 bravada

my bravada clunks when I accelerate from a stop, if there is a hill or I really get on it. front end fells pretty tight, not loose at all. does anyone have an idea what it might be. it seems to be only when force is put on it,flat ground it has no problems

Re: 97 bravada

Sounds like a bad drivers side motor mount. You can try raising the hood, with the motor running and the brakes on put the shifter in drive, then look at the engine through the gap between the hood and lower windshield and give the gas pedal a little mash and watch for the engine to actually raise up an inch or so on the drivers side....if it does, a new drivers side motor mount is the fix.
