Aftermarket Radiator cap

does anyone know or think that getting a radiator cap with a higher pressure will put stress on the cooling system since it rasies pressure? i kno it will raise the boiling point but will it like expand the hoses or weaken the radiator or something since the pressure is going from like stock 14psi to 18psi?

Re: Aftermarket Radiator cap

what island u from ? ive never met anyone else from hawaii on here. putting too much pressure on other components might cause them to leak, like hoses or water pump gasket.

I've heard that getting stronger upper and lower radiator hoses is all you need to run the higher pressure safely. I would like into stainless steel braided hoses.
