searched all over the forums and couldn't find a walkthrough on how to install new carpet. Can anyone point me towards one or just tell me what the process is? Thanks for your help all

Its A Bitch, I Did It Once For My Cousin 01 Camry, And I Will Never Do It Again. The Carpet You Buy Doesnt Come With Any Hole So You Have To Do Cut It All Out, Takes Lots Of Time.

took me 4hrs to install my carpet in my 95 civic...it's pretty self explanatory....just work from the outside in

1) remove the front seats....theres four screws holding each seat down...take them out

2) remove the center consol pieces, including the piece that has your ashtray on it...i believe theres two screws holding each piece

3) remove the bottom portion on the back seat...theres's a bolt holding it down in the middle, so you'll have to look for it

4) remove the dead pedal...two screws

5) the biggest problem i had was getting the carpet unstapled from underneath the door sills

6) now take the carpet out...place the old carpet on top of the new carpet that you have bought...make sure you push it all into the crevises so that way you can get a pretty accurate cut...just cut a slit for the middle pieces that way you can get over the ebrake and the shift knob...don't cut it out yet...also cut small holes for the bolts that hold the front seats down..then place the carpet inside of the car

7) You'll notice that the sides are going to be longer, but don't worry about that until near the end...that way you'll get an accurate cut and it won't be too short

8) now cut out the center console a little bit more..to me i found it easier and more accurate then trying to cut it outside of the car...also cut for the bolts too

9) staple gun or glue the piece for underneath the backseat

9) now just work backwards...start with putting the backseat back...don't forget the bolt, and don't forget to pull your seatbelts back through either

10) center console, dead pedal, then the front seats...then cut the sides and staple them back and put the door sills back on

You'll need 3 or 4 sharp blades, a 10mm socket (i think there was a 12mm somewhere in there i can't remember where) and just take your time..i thought the install was easy, you just need patience, good music, and about 3-6hrs of free time good luck with it!
