2000 Tahoe, aux input to stereo

I was wondering how to access the Aux input to my CD player in my Tahoe. It is the 2000 with the new body style, and it has the stock CD player and the tape player seperate. I never use the tape player so I don't mind unhooking it. I want to wire the line out on the iPod I just got, and I don't want to buy the new wiring harness.

any one have any ideas.

Thanks in advance

Cory

I have the same situation with my 04. I want to hook it up to an ipod too. Did you ever find out any suggestions?

PEI makes and adapter that plugs into the back of the aux tape player and your I-Pod would then act like the optional cd changer. You can get it from Crutchfield.com.
