4x4 front vibration

Hello,

I have a 1999 new body single cab stepside z71.

I have completely replaced the front drive shaft(shaft, ujoints, and yoke) because of a cutting torch/bad temper incident while removing old u-joints. Both new and old drive shaft is giving me a vibration problem. When I hit about 40mph and up the front of the truck vibrates really bad. Can someone help me in locating the source of the vibration? I know the 4x4 is working because I went yesterday and got in some wet grass and spun the tires over to make sure it is working.

Thanks,

Ronnie-Mississippi

Welcome to Club shake. I have a 2004 Silverado 1500 reg cab. At 1500 miles it began to vibrate. Dealer put on two sets of tires to no avail. They call it frame beaming and say it is normal. I hope you find a solution because me and numerous other Silverado Owners are experiencing the same problem and yet to find a solution.

Well, Mine has to do with the front drive shaft. I removed the front drive shaft and the vibration goes away. I replaced the front drive shaft including yoke, shaft, and u-joints and it still does the same thing. I know mine is not related to the tires.
