Fuel pump stays on
The fuel pump runs for a while after the car is shut off. Sometimes for quite awhile. It's always noisy and I suspect it has tried to run all night on occasion as the battery has been dead. (It's new)

There should be a fuel pump relay, probably under hood, try tapping it when pump is running, the relay may be sticking. (If anything, you can pull this out, which really *should* turn the pump off, to keep the battery from running down.) If you can consistantly make pump turn off by tapping relay I'd replace it. There may be other things to consider depending on model/year so you may want to find a wiring diagram for your particular car.

The engine still runs with the relay out. I looked at the wiring diagram and it appears that the oil pressure switch keeps the pump running if it sees pressure.
