The following is the items performed on the Hyundai 30,000 Mile Factory Service schedule. It is taken directly from the Original Hyundai Factory Service Schedule.

30,000 Mile Service
Hyundai Factory Recommended Service

• Change engine oil
• Install Genuine Hyundai oil filter
• Inspect fuel lines, fuel hoses and connections
• Inspect insulator of fuel injector (2.0 SULEV Elantra. Note: If removing injector, insulator and O-ring should be changed).
• Inspect Vapor hose and fule filler cap
• Replace air cleaner filter
• Inspect drive belts
• Replace engine coolant
• Inspect timing belt
• Inspect manual transaxle oil
• Inspect automatic transaxle fluid
• Inspect brake fluid
• Inspect brake hoses and lines
• Inspect rear brake drums, linings and parking brake
• Inspect exhaust pipe and muffler
• Inspect suspension mounting bolts
• Inspect steering gearbox, linkage and boots/lower arm ball joints
• Inspect power steering pump and hoses
• Inspect power steering belt (Elantra and Tiburon)
• Inspect driveshafts and boots
• Inspect air conditioning and refrigerant

Here is why they do it:
Your Hyundai is now due for its first major service. All of the basic services have been performed. Now the tehcnician use specialized equipment to more closely inspect your vehicle and make certain that all the mechanical, electronic and computer devices are working properly. At this time, they also address your vehicle's heating and cooling system. Over time, your vehicle's engine coolant can becoame contaminated, losing its ability to protect your engine during extreme fluctuations in temperature. The coolant also will lose its ability to protect the metal components in your vehicle's engine from rust and corrosion, causing premature engine and gasket failure. Expensive repairs could result from the lack of this required mainenance.
