Turbo gasket replacement
Last night coming home, my car sounded wired. My turbo is spooling but my blow off valve is not as loud as it should, even my speed was lower then what it should have been. At 4500K if I floor the car in 2nd gear, I loose some traction and the car takes off. Well that didn’t happen and the sound got louder when I floored it. When I got home, I poped the hood, and revved the motor so I can hear the sound better. Well, it was right where the turbo is, SO I need to buy all the gaskets and replace all of them.
I’m just bitshing because I hate removing the turbo off my car. I have aftermarket oil lines on the BB T28, but still; it’s a long job… I will do it on Thursday; I have work and school to attend to. I will be driving with no Boost for a few days. I’m going to Signal Auto to buy the gaskets today, (Block -manifold, manifold – turbo, turbo-sleeve, sleeve- down pipe gaskets) That’s my story…

That's to bad. But at least you'll have new gaskets.

They're not expensive. Its just having to insall them thats a bitch. Especially on a bottom mount setup. Do you have the metal sandwich type?

i just got them, 4 gaskets for $50, not too bad.
they are all metal exept for the manifold one, its paper. removing the bolts is a pain in the ass... especially reinstaling the turbo AND the oil lines...no space to work on. I will get pix and post it (finally!!)
