Slow shifting trans

My 97 tarus has started taking a long time to shift. The only thing I have ddone different lately is top off the tranny fluid.

Are you sure you didn't overfill the tranny, there's a cold and hot fill mark. Also, did you check your fluids when your vehicle was running?
