2004 Quest nothing but problem
I have not had nothing but trouble out of my quest. It has been in the shop 16 different times for nine different things in 4 months. The nissan quest tech is comming to pick up my van and I hope that they will fix it or replace it befor my arbtration date. If not I guess I will have to fight it to the end.. The lemon law is all about my van,,,,

Re: 2004 Quest nothing but problem
How did things work out for you? I have had a similar experiance from broken sun roof, doors not closing, noisy interior, dashboard lights not working and now car not starting. I want to trade it in, but after owning for 13 months I can't break even yet.

I was wondering the same thing how all these unhappy people made out in their abritration cases????
I have a late production 04' and I haven't really had any problems other than a service engine light that came on, I had it fixed at the 1st oil change (new software, took 1/2 hour). The only other complaint is that the sliders on both sides need occasional adjustments to keep the doors aligned properly. Seems like the 2 oil changes I've had require an extra hour to adjust the door seams.....I think the hinges can't secure the doors properly due to them being to small and cheap. Other than that it has mechanically been trouble free..... The only problems are body integrity (the doors). Anyone else have this issue? I found that it helps to have a good dealership that actually realizes the Quest has issues. Every oil change they smartly silicone the heck out of the door seals on all doors, this stops the dreaded squeaks most people encounter around the seals. |

Despite all the bad publicity, I'm very pleased with my 04 SE. I've had no problems other than door rattles which were fixed within two trips to the dealer. The drivers side slider began to make an annoying rustling sound. I found all the hardware had loosened up. I just slightly tightened all the fasteners, and it's back to quiet as a mouse. We currently have 10K problem free miles. I will keep the silicone idea in mind.
