93 probe gt stalling problems

a friend of mine has a 93 probe gt with the 2.5 and it has bout 145,000 on it. It would run for about 45 minutes, sometimes not even that long, then just die. it would start up after setting for about 20 minutes. we just put new plugs, pcv, and fuel filter on it and it did not help. the fuel filter wasnt clogged at all either. after it died we ran the codes and no codes came up. if anyone can help it would be great we are stuck pretty bad. thank you

it was the whole distributor, after it would die we wouldnt get any spark and after running for bout 5 minutes the distributor would be so hot u couldnt touch it. we replaced that ($275) and it runs perfect now.

Re: 93 probe gt stalling problems

good luck, i'm about to transfer to my 3rd remanufactured pos distributer. keep your receit. and pray it's covered under warenty, cause there is a really good chance it is going to go bad on you again. oh that msd mod is a pretty good deal, but there is some alot of talk about it. some good, some bad, get some more info on it, im in the process of looking into it too. let me know if you do it, and if it turns out to work pretty good
