New Engine
I was thinking about buying a new engine for my 3.8 Pontiac Grand Prix,
but I did not know whether or not if I should buy it from the dealership. Can someone give me advice on that. Also, if I have a 3.8, non superscharge engine, could I put the supercharge in my car. |

Re: New Engine
so you have to change the wire harness and the PCM, damn..
So what about getting a new engine, what would you do, would you go to the dealer or get it rebuilt. I know at the dealer I would be able to get another 200 thousand miles of it |

Re: New Engine
Thanx, where did you get you pipes from and how much did they run you. Also, what is the name of those pipes/mufflers.
On the other hand is that a different type of engine or is that the same that come with the car. Also, if that is different, would I have to add stuff to it. |

I looked up a 98 GT 3800,not sure what year your's is.The part # I listed is for a 97/99 long block.Only parts to swap out on a long block is, PS pump, alternator and throttle body, add some new plugs. ~Larry~

Re: New Engine
I'd call up Ed Morad get a used motor and take the money saved and throw it into a turbo setup for the car.
