i was wondering, what is a standard price for a tune up?

Hard to say, as definitions of "tune up" vary so much now.
I would classify it as plugs, air filter if needed, fuel filter, check for diagnostic codes, and throttle plate cleaning for a basic. I would guess in the $200 range for that, depending on labor rates in your area. If the plug wires have over 75,000 miles on them, it wouldn't be a bad idea. Figure probably another $75 for parts and labor for that. Fuel injector flush if opted runs about 40-60 bucks, I think. You can get up in the $400 range pretty easy, depending on how deep you want to go with it. That's why I do my own work. All those parts mentioned above add up to $75 or so if puchased retail, big difference. Some places advertise a "tune up special" for $69.95 or whatever, but it's usually replace plugs, then a lot of fluid top-offs and equipment and filter checks, anything else being extra.
