IPT electro-matic manual contoller

hey i was just wondering if anyone on here is using one of the electro-matic manual contorllers on their automatic DSM's and exactly how do they work, or do they work well? and also will it allow you to put your transmission in neutral rev up and shift into first for a better launch, thanks

yea i know neutral jobs are stupid and extremely bad for the tranny but that was the main question i was asking, will this manual shift controller allow you to do it safely, cuz i dont really see a point in getting this thing unless it will let me launch like a 5-speed

I really don't think it will ever be safe to nuetral drop a auto. It looks like this product just makes it better to manual shift it (1-2-3-4) by hand. I don't see anything that would save it from a nuetral drop..

It really depends on your daily drving wants/needs. I'm pretty sure you can get a stall converter (doesnt apply power till say 3000, or 3500 rpm) for a 4g63 auto. But that would definatly hamper your everyday driving one would think..

yea i say "neutral drop" but i meant like in a 5-speed where you rev to whatever rpms then drop the clutch and punch it, will this thing let you do that safely in an automatic but i cant see where or how it would so i was just wonderin if anyone has one if they know for sure
