2001 Ignition cylinder replacement
The key on my 2001 Grand am won't turn at all. I assume this problem to be a bad ignition cylinder. How difficult is this to replace? I am thinking of trying to replace this myself simply because my car is parked in my garage and I can't get the car into neutral to even get it towed to a dealer. Any help on how to replace this would be appreciated.

Re: 2001 Ignition cylinder replacement
It's not terribly hard. I had my dash torn apart a long time ago, and I remember it was easy to get the cylander out - it's definately something you should be able to do yourself. If I remember right, you end up removing the outer cover with something such as a screw driver, and then after that I don't really remember, but it was easy.
