Ball Joints

Hey Guys, wondering. Ball Joints seem pretty inexpesive. My front end squeeks like a mofo. So I also need to replace bushings and finally new shocks and coil springs. First though, how hard is it too replace the lower and upper Ball Joints? Simple or is it a pain?
-Thanks

Replacing the ball joints are a HUGE pain in the ass, especially if they have never been done before. Getting them out is not tough, but getting the new ones in is no fun at all. But, if it needs to be doe, it needs to be done. Just letting you know. I changed my coild springs recently, and its not that hard and it made a big difference in the noise level. In these old cars, shocks are good to change every 20ish K miles. Replacing all the frame bushings and such is also a very good way to stop noise as it lifts the body off the frame... your on the right track, but yes, the ball joints are a bitch.

I purchased my kit off of ebay. I got it pretty cheap, and it was a good quality when I got it in the mail.

That is the exact kit that I bought.

If you need a kit with everything new, all the bolts etc. they also sell those:

Each set includes a full set of rubber body mount bushings with steel inserts. Includes radiator core support bushings.
Part # Description Price Add to Cart
RU1103 Stock-style rubber body mount bushing kit for all 1968-1972 models.
$51.00
NOTE: The lower radiator core support bushing is approximately 1/4" larger in diameter than the original, and may require trimming.

If you notice, the same exact kits are 15 bucks more at yearone.com

Hope this helps.

The kit that I purchased came labeled. Even if its not labeled, you can basically tell which bushing goes where when you remove your old ones.
