Honda City Turbo

g'day

i'm from australia and i own a honda city with a turbo engine in it. me and my brothers are currently rebuilding this little beast and i have been searching around on the net for any information on them... i've found a bit of info but i really want to talk to other city drivers.

here's some pics of the honda at the moment:
http://www.prizepage.com.au/honda

okay so its a bit of a mess right now but it used to be good until i stuffed a piston originally my brother put the turbo 1 engine into the standard non-turbo city body. from there he upgraded the turbo to a ball bearing little sucker, the same as a wrx sti turbo. also a 2 1/2inch mandrel bent exaust was added and the boost was raised to 18 psi. after a while i bought it off him and had a bit of fun in it, racing wrx's and winning is pretty fun considering its such a cheap little car. anyways after a while the engine blew and it sat around the side of my house for months. then a few weeks ago we dragged it out and removed the engine then started taking the engine to bits only to find the melted piston was the problem!

so now i am getting new pistons put in, a new sports cam, a nice big frount mount intercooler, bov and keep the boost around 18 high and have a low setting of around 10-12. also when the engine is being put back together we will have the head port and polished, and we'll be making a custom inlet manifold for more air flow from the intercooler.

now this car should go dam hard considering its light weight and i really hope i'll be in the 13 sec quarter bracket as long as i can get some traction hehe.

so is there anyone else out there interested in city turbo's or owns one?

thanks
brendan

LOL,

I recognised your name but when I looked at the date I didn't see the "2002" bit.

Still, you can never have too many pimps :smoka:
