Few questions right back at ya..... Are you gonna stroke it to 327 /331 / 347? Or is it gonna be the stock stoke?

its going to be a stock stroke, although there is a possibilty of stroking it to a 331 when its not my daily driver

Re: offset piston pins
Offset piston pins? You mean a shorter compression height piston/long rod motor? Long rods tend to build more dynamic compression. A long rod might get you a few hp, it might cost you a few hp. Entirely dependant on the specific parts in the motor.

No off set meaning that where the pin that goes thru the piston and rod is slightly off centered. You do that to help reduce bind, and piston slap.

Honestly I have never heard of that. Wierd. I can't see any purpose to it, but what do I know.

Re: offset piston pins
It's not my specialty, but last I knew all piston pins were offset slightly. You may want to call a manufacturer to verify it if it's a concern with something you are building.

Re: offset piston pins
Probe has an offset wrist pin that is used in their 342/347 pistons. It keeps the wrist pin from intersecting the rings, and keeps oil consumption down to a minimum, if at all.
EDIT: by "if at all," I mean, that it does keep oil consumption down, to where it may not happen at all.
