Re: plates

I have mounts on my 96 vr4...I just refuse to use them.
Sorry to hear you got nailed for it though. By the way, how much was the ticket for if you don't mind me asking.

Re: plates

Iv'e had 3 warnings for not haveing one, just carry the front plate in the glove box and if you get pulled over stick it in the window, works every time.

Re: plates

On my car, I have two little hanging things between the front upper and lower lip of my car and there is a mount that the license plate goes on. I just have the plate in my car on the middle of the dash. That way if I do get pulled over, hopefully it'll just be a fix it ticket ('cause I don't know if that's illegal or not!?!).

-Oh yeah, how much was your ticket?

Re: plates

I've been waved over by a cop on foot for not having a front plate in NY, then he saw I was from Mass and let me go on my way. NY police suck. I am looking into getting a green lettered plate so I won't need a front one, I dunno if I can get it registered though, also I might just paint my red lettred ones green lol, I think thats legal.

Where do you guys live?

Where do you guys live that you are required to have a front plate? I am in TN and the only plates you see on the front of a car here are vanity plates.

Re: plates

Here in Massachusetts the older plates are green and peopole were only issued one, the more recent ones are red and you get two so you gotta put both on or (so the police say) they think you are using them on two cars and one is not insured! Ohh no! They also make you bring in your plates when you sell the car they're attached to which is just dumb. Where's gateway been? Maybe he knows why they're such bitches about the plates, they won't let you cancle your insurance untill you sind in your plates.

There is a braket that attached to those bolts. Order if from a dealer its not too much.

As far as putting the plate in the windshield, its illigal to do that, and it poses a serious danger in the event of an accident.

That law in NY has caused me more hassles in the past 2 years than I even want to remember, and I know it will only get worse when I switch my insurance + everything over to PA in a few months...
