Turn Signals not working

One day when it was snowing heavily, my turn signals just stopped working. I got a new directional flasher today, and put it in, but the signals still didnt work. My dad and I are thinking it's the relay. Any other suggestions though?

Re: Turn Signals not working

Maybe it's your fuse? I was looking in the manual for my 97 cav and the fuse called "STOP HAZ" controls the Exterior lamps, anti-lock brakes, cruise control, and turn signals. So pull that fuse out first and check to see if it's blown or not. I'm kinda thinking it's not tho assuming your exterior lamps, and anti-lock brakes are still working fine.

yeah it's not that. We checked the fuses that control the turn signals and they're all tip top.

Sub-question:

Is there only one flasher that controls the hazards and the turn signals? Or are there two flashers?

Re: Turn Signals not working

sounds like your turn signal switch has gone bad, the switch and turn signal lever are all one peice, they run around $80.00 but one of the easiest ways to check it is try your hazards, if they work then it is your switch, dont worry there very simple to install.
