rear window/interioir lights?

my rear window wont pop open at all. cant use the button on the dash or teh button on my keyless entry or teh keyhole on the tailgate. any ideas why it wont work??

when i open my doors my interior lights wont turn on. the reading lamps i can turn on by pushing the button. any ideas why its doing this??
