86-88 headlights

Searched, but found now thread on the 86-88 headlights.

All local parts yards have lights with ruined reflectors (water leaks), broken mounting tabs, etc.

Ford discontinued parts way back.

Internet sources start at 89.

Can 88-89 Taurus be fitted with later headlights? Any other sources for new aftermarket headlamp housings?
