1997 Blazer, Heater core problem

My heater core is leaking, I tried to take the old one out ( following the instructions in the repair manual) after taking out all the bolts the core still wont come lose and drop down.

Are there any clips / or glue holding it in?

I don't want to force it and do more damage.

Any help would be appriciated.

Thanks

JP

there are 5 7mm screws across the top. And did you disconnect the hoses from inside the engine compartment? You can push it through from in there.

Re: 1997 Blazer, Heater core problem

Mine has 5 10 mm screws on top and 1 10 mm screw on the bottom. The heater core will not move at all.

By the way it is a 97 LT, i don't know if that is different from what you are refering to.
