No accessories in run position

For awhile now I have had to wiggle the key when the car is running to make the radio, wipers, heater blower work. If the car is not running and key is in the accessory position everything works. Now wiggling the key will not make any accessory work. Please help! Car runs fine. It is a 96 Cherokee

Re: No accessories in run position

My guess is that it's the ignition switch.

Re: No accessories in run position

I know it's been a long time but did you figure out what the problems was? I have a 94 Cherokee and it is doing the same exact thing. But it got to a point where they will not come on at all now. I think it is in the ignition but I cant figure out how to remove the lower cover on the steering column to get to the ignition. The key tumbler is fine ,so I thinh it is the wiring in the ignition.

Thanks
Rick
