What to look for when checking out a 1990 G60 Corrado?

I'm going to go check out a 1990 G60 Corrado. It has 102k miles on it, and it is all stock. How many miles can this type of car hold? When I check the compression, what should the readings be? What kind of engine/maintainance problems should I check for? Also, are there any problems I can check for in the stock supercharger?

What kind of upgrades are available? What are some good websites to check out?

I am traveling an hour to go check this car out. I would like to know as much as possible before hand. So any information and insites are appreciated.

i work at a vw repair shop so i know what im talking about. First of all that car can handle a bit of milage but it all matters on how it has been maintained.

about the compression...the main thing to test is if all the cylinders read within about 10 of eachother. im not sure what range they will be in just make sure they are pretty close.

Then with maintanance the thing to do is to check the belts and fluids or even better is to take it and get a routine tune up and ask for a list of any other things wrong with the car...do what you can by yourself..then have them do the rest...if you can afford it

I own this car before... I don't know is there any upgrade on this model.
but this car give me lot of headache.

First, the cyclinder head gasket leak coolant on the side, after I fix it and I drove the car for few months the heatercore is gone.
radiator is slow leak, water pumps is minor leak. and the coolant tube is made by plastic I already replace
The shock I have to replace all 4 because it is all gone.
The oil filter housing seal is leak......


After that it is a good car.
