DashBoard Cover for 2001 Chrysler LHS

Hi,

In a wreck last week both airbags were deployed on my 2001 Chrysler LHS.

Where can I find a replacement / used / aftermarket dashboard cover, I dont need airbags or the guages.

Can someone help me?

Thanks,
Twins

I have a similar problem with my dashboard cover: there is a crack due to parking in high heat. I d like to either have it fixed or replaced, any idea of how much a dashboard cover would cost, and how much to have it installed ?

Probably way too much for me........ and what can I do next time to avoid cracks ?

I have the same thing. Three vertical cracks, evenly spaced. One on the driver's side, one in the middle and one on the passenger side. I also have this constant problem with a white dust film on the cover (tan vinyl). This stuff appears nowhere else. I wonder if the vinyl is changing chemically and that is the cause of the cracks. Anyway, I don't buy the "parking in heat" effect. I see many, many other cars parked in the heat and vinyl cracking doesn't seem to be a major issue. I live in the Northeast and we have our share of "hot" days, but the material should be able to handle it. Judging the way the rest of the car is put together, my guess would be inferior materials. BTW, I'd guess replacing the cover would be a MAJOR project. Anyone else having this problem?
