Oh God...I Feel So Utterly Crushed

Ok, heres the scenario. The chick Ive liked for a while wants to come to my place, make dinner with me, watch Eyes Wide Shut, and she wants my parents to be out of the house. Sounds good, yes? I tried to make a move. Turns out she thought it was just strictly cuz we're friends. I feel like dying right now. Opinions: Was I wrong to read into this? She cant belive that I considered this anything more than friendly, but come on, it all adds up to a night of secks at least from my (male) perspective. Advice/Opinions plz.

You either misread the situation, or she is playing games. Either way, just apologize and ask if you can hang out with her as friends. These things happen, and will continue to happen until people can read minds, so don't feel bad about it. If you think that's embarrasing wait until you try picking up chicks at bars, just remember, lower standards higher average.
