95 Neon Having Problems

Hey whats up guys?
New Member with a problem.
I was driving on I95 doing about 80 when suddenly my car starts slowing down for no reason. I pushed my foot to the floor, but it continued to slow down. I got to the side of the road and lifted the hood. There was smoke coming out of the radiator cap, and my car was dumping antifreeze at a very fast rate. My first notion was my bottom hose was busted. My car wouldnt start from that point. I got it towed to my house, where my buddy checked the diagnostic codes. I got a code for the MAP sensor. We checked the voltage, and it was correct. Ive rulled out it wasnt the starter, battery or the alternator. I really have no idea whats wrong with it. I really hope someone can shed some light on this problem.

Re: 95 Neon Having Problems

Replace what went wrong with the antifreez all over the place. And check the water temp sensor. Maybe even the fans/fan. Good luck hope it helps.

Make sure you check all of the basics, check all of the connections to the radiator. Then check your oil level. If you ran out of coolant and overheated your engine you could have very easliy overheated your engine and burned up your oil and damaged your engine it would explain it not starting. With my first car i never check the oil, was doing about 95mph when it started slowing down pulled over and realized there was no oil left in the engine. also if you ran out oil and your engine overheated i belive it would cause your coolant to boil over and it would be all over the place.
