shifting troubles
Hi, I have a 95 jeep grand cherokee ltd w/140,000 mi. For the past couple of months it has not been shifting like it should. It is an automatic full time 4x4 and does not want to shift up through the gears getting stuck in first and second and whining out the rpms. Sometimes when starting from a complete stop it seems to take a lot of peddle to get the rig moving. This appears to be getting worse. What am I looking at?

Check the fluid level and color. You might try changing the fluid and filter, solves a lot of Tranny problems. If it dosent help your looking at a rebuild.

Check the fluid level and color. You might try changing the fluid and filter, solves a lot of Tranny problems. Could be a governor valve sticking maybe a TPS or a front band adjustment could be more serious like a rebuild. Try the fluid and filter first.
