Question Changing engine from standard trans to automatic Will it work

I have a geo with a rough body and a good motor. I found a good body with a bad motor. Mine is a standard shift and the other one has an automatic. Will my motor work in it? (They are close to the same year model,1991)

You should just be able to swap out the flexplate for the flywheel.
