Nissan engine lineup

I hope someone finds this interesting. If not, I'll go eat worms. I see it interisting that in 2001 Nissan went to a Eaton supercharger in the Pathfinder.

Re: Nissan engine lineup

Where does it say the '01 Pathfinder got a blower? It had a VQ35DE, and was actually the first to get it.
The 00-04 Frontier got the optional VG33ER. I guess that makes for an interesting tuning option for the Z31 guys.

Your right, my bad. It's the Frontier that has the Eaton supercharger.

I wonder how hard it would be to put a set of VG30DETT heads on a VG33 engine? Someone's going to have to go into a Nissan dealer parts dept. and compare head gaskets... Opening up the combustion chamber would be a piece of cake if thats all thats different.

Anytime I start talking about giving the Pathfinder more gumption she throws the nearest heavy object at me and yells not to touch it.

Although, she doesn't mind me modding my Z. As long as she gets to drive it once and a while. First time she drove it under SR power was damn near hilarious. She did a U-turn and gave it some gas in 1st gear and the car just jumped.

Her responce: ... "I wanna do that again!"

Re: Nissan engine lineup

I think even a VG33ER(without a DOHC head) would be an interesting option for the Z31 guys. You've got more low-end, and another .3L to play with. If supercharging isn't your thing, you culd always turbo it.

It would be a killer setup for eather the Z31 or Z32 with VG30DETT heads and TT'd.
