wow. It looks great. The headlights are very detailed.
For shading, I use these cotton sticks you usually clean your ears with. they work great. I also heard of toilet paper. |

Re: new artwork: landrover
looks real good. I use q-tips(go to a beauty supply store they sell them in a variety if shapes). tearing a sheet of drawing paper and wraping it around the tip of your pencil will allow you to blend in cramped spaces, or wrap it around the end of an eraser it will let you blend broader areas.

I think getting a smooth shade has more to do w/ your paper. I use bristol smooth for realistic graphite drawings. I also use mechanical pencils because the diameter of the lead allows for a better application, getting down into the fibers. Shade also on a hard surface. I use a drawing board but some people use glass ontop of a drawing board As far as shading, use stumps, or even a real leather shamy (sp) I am also trying these triangle wedges (very very smooth) used by women for make-up applications (found at Wal-mart). I like those a lot. Check our tutorials links This can get you started http://monologues.co.uk/Portraits/BlendShade.htm I think your Landrover looks pretty smooth, and I like the composition. Take care Al
