In Progress Crown "Athlete"

As this is a new Aoshima release I thought I'd post a couple of pics up as I don't recall seeing one posted and it might be useful for anybody considering purchasing the kit.
Haven't really thought about about colour/rims yet - the rims shown are Amistad R's and Kranze Cerberus with Pegasus sleeves. Kit comes with suspension where you can adjust the ride height & camber
I'll post progress as I make it.

Cheers
Andy

Re: In Progress Crown "Athlete"

Finally. I have yet to buy this model and I don't know why. It looks awesome. Anyhow....

Great start, Andy. IMO mesh wheels would look really good on an Athlete.

Managed to get some paint on this one today - decided to go with black as I think it will contrast well with the rims and chrome trim. The colour is Renault Pearlescent Black base coat but it needs a clearcoat.
Interior will be either grey or cream.

Cheers
Andy

Re: In Progress Crown "Athlete"

i like the second rims, cool car. Does this car have relations to the old RWD Toyota Crown from the 70's, a freind had a modded one when he lived in japan, sounded cool

Here's where I am currently with this one - paint has been polished out, window trim sprayed semi-gloss black and have started the chrome trim with Bare Metal Foil.

Thanks for looking
Andy
