99 Blazer no reverse
New here but have been reading forum and have not seen a problem like this. Wondering if anyone has had this problem.
Driving to work yesterday at about 105 km I heard a loud bang and the vehicle switched into 3rd gear. After that I only had 1st and 3rd with no reverse. No problems before and 85000 kms. (55000 miles) and oil change at 50000kms. No warning lights on dash and fluid ok. Mister T wants 1500 just to take out and look with no garentees. Thanks

Thanks for the advice and info guys, after I signed up to the forum and got search privilidges I was able to find other incidences. Definatly sounds like the sun gear shell.
Have ordered a manual and am pulling the tranny out today. Fortuanatly it is not our only vehilcle on the road, will comendeir the wifes van!! Thanks
