Hey... I was bored and was watching 2f2f...yes I know that movie is crap...like I said I was bored, anyways, I noticed that the skyline during the opening scene of the night race... It almost seemed as though when he shifted (Brian O'Conner) there was no BOV sound, just turbo spool sound then shift...I was thinking that the most resonable answer would be that the BOV was recirculated...any thoughts?

Re: BOV question
A recirulation valve still has some substantial noise to it, esspecially on an RB26. But whenever your quick shifting the BOV isnt nearly as present.
Like on Joel Grannas' 300ZedX 'Vert Single Turbo (Joel's Zed just watch those videos, and you'll see) all you can hear in between shifts is tire chirp. But whenever he lets off without picking it back up, the BOV is extremely loud (as Tials tend to be). And as for the 2Fast2Queer scenes, all of those sounds are edited in later. I actually did it with my Civic just for fun... Had my buddy shoot a video of me driving it hard through three gears... Took it into Premiere, grafted some turbo noises from some racing videos I have... And voila, it could fool the best. ... Not entirely sure why I answer such a silly question in such depth... I must be bored. -Wes
