Today I noticed that my drivers side window on my 2000 Oldsmobile
Alero has quit working. It will not go up or down. When I push the button I dont hear any kind of noise coming from the door. All the other windows are working properly. Can anyone please help me fix this problem? |

Re: drivers side window doesnt work - HELP!
My driver side window has started acting funny as well. I found that if I push straight down on the button (toward the ground) while trying to open the window it works like normal. Good luck with that, let me know if you end up having to replace it.

that little trick seems to work for me. Thank you. I am scared to open the window now, because its still winter here in Missouri, and I am thinking to myself, "what if I cant get it to close"? ![]() Someone told me it could be caused from slamming the door to hard, but I dont think thats the case, because I am the original owner and NO ONE has ever drove my car before. Well, thanks again for the "tip", at least now I can go through the drive-through at the fast food joints again! LOL

If you find that the window regulator needs to be replace, check on ebaymotors.com or gmpartsdirect.com. The ones on ebay are really cheap but they are used. Gmpartsdirect will certainly be the cheapest for a new GM window regulator.
