my dash went dark after using the cig lighter I tore every piece of tape and loom from blaze looking for a short. many people have the same problem i'm finding out. I fixed all my problems by grounding the ecm neg wire. every thing works fine now. ps everything but my 4WD doesn't engage or light up front axle : need help there still.

Is this a manual 4x4 shifter?
If so it could be the vaccume hub switch is bad.
check out www.s104x4.com click on tech articles then vaccume diagrams.I would start with checking for vaccume leaks,if check ok replace vaccume hub switch.
