Angry Door lock problem

My sons golf rear passenger door will not open from outside or inside. The child lock has been activated from inside and now the outside lock will not work. Have you any suggestions in how to fix this problem?

here's hoping

Re: Door lock problem

maybe you can take the rear door panel off without opening the door, and manipulate the latch from inside the door - might not be real easy, though. Sometimes we would skillfully break the outside handle off, seeing as how it is broken anyway.

This was on older golfs and jettas. What year and model?
