99 civic accel. problems...
hi,
as of yesterday, whenever i try to accelerate in 1st and 2nd gear in my 99 civic, the engine revs up a bit more than usual when i push on the gas, but it barely moves. once i get going and up to speed, it's ok, but still rev's a little high. is this a transmission problem? or something else altogether. also, i know that one of the bearings in the transmission needs to be replaced(rattles a little in 1st and 2nd gear) and i also just got done having pepboys install a whole new distributor and plugs the day before. any info at all is greatly appreciated! thanks! |

Re: 99 civic accel. problems...
Sounds like the trans is slipping or the clutch is going if its a 5-speed

Re: 99 civic accel. problems...
i dont see how that would have anything to do with the cat... my guess would be the clutch
