well,
the maf itself really doesnt get cleaned... you can however clean the screen or take it out completely as many here have done. On the newer silverados its attached to the side of the airbox connecting the airbox and intake tube. You can easily see it b/c it has an electrical connector hooked up to on the top. Be VERY VERY careful if you take the screen out b/c those little hot wires inside the unit will break and then you'll be buying a new maf, which can be very hard on the wallet.
