help

Just got a radiator and thermostat. Mechanic told me hosed look new. Just saw this morning fluid leaking. I cant find any hoses leaking looking over the top. Got under it and can see a few drips on parts of motor but its not dripping fast enough for me to tell where its coming from. And I dont see any hoses down there. It looks like its coming from drivers side almost near the oil filter. Should I use stop leak? Its not leaking enough that Ive put fluid in again, but Im sick of this. And when the engine warms up I smell it outside the car and see the engine smoke from under hood from it burning.

Re: help

Did you do the water pump (leak from the weep hole)also? As long as you did what you did why did the mechanic not replace the water pump, all the hoses, and the water pump belt? Not much more work (if the pump comes out) for the peice of mind. I did hoses and coolant last summer, and two weeks later the pump started leaking.
Did the mechanic put the Bars Leak Gold tablets in with the new fluid? GM calls for them in the system. They only plug something up when they hit air. Not like the metal based stuff that can plug up everything. Put them in a hose not the surge tank! They won't circulate properly if just put in the tank.
